This is the first time that I have had real hardwood floors in my hotel room. I guess this is a sign of the good things to come. We are currently in Guangzhou shooting a commercial and I have come to this conclusion: my boss is a machine.

I had a short 2-hour flight from Taipei while he had a 13-hour flight to Guangzhou from the US. Yet upon our reunion his energy level greatly surpassed mine.

With an 8:00am call the next day he squarely looked jet lag in the eye and proclaimed, “Not today!” We were extremely efficient and wrapped 2 hours ahead of schedule. Not bad. The reshoots were few and far between. He was on his game. His performance was truly amazing, to parallel the incredible lighting and professional shooting of the commercial. During breaks we were able to relax and catch the surging Jeremy Lin steal Kobe’s spotlight as the Knicks beat the Lakers. Lin has become a truly inspirational story. Between my boss being a machine and Jeremy Lin being a beast, I can’t help feel a surge of motivation to attack each day with an intensity unknown to man. Day 1.
